Public Bus
From the main bus terminal in Valparaíso (Terminal de Buses), purchase a ticket to Puchuncaví. Buses leave frequently throughout the day. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic route which will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach Maitencillo, as it is a popular stop.
Shared Taxi (Colectivo)
Head to the nearest colectivo stand in Valparaíso, typically found near Plaza Sotomayor or along major streets. Look for a colectivo heading towards Puchuncaví or Maitencillo. The shared taxi will take you directly to your destination and is generally faster than the bus. The ride will take about 1 hour, depending on traffic.
Walking from Puchuncaví Center
Once you arrive in Puchuncaví by bus or taxi, you can walk to Maitencillo. From the bus drop-off point, head towards Avenida Los Castaños and walk for about 20-30 minutes in the direction of the coast. You'll pass through scenic areas and can enjoy the local ambiance. Look for signs pointing towards Maitencillo.
