Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Valparaíso, head east on Avenida Argentina toward Avenida Pedro Montt. Continue straight for about 3.5 km until you reach the roundabout at Avenida del Mar. Take the second exit onto Avenida del Mar, which will turn into Avenida San Martín. Continue on Avenida San Martín for about 2 km and then turn left onto Cam. El Olivar. The Viña del Mar National Botanical Garden will be on your right after approximately 1 km. Free parking is available near the entrance.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Viña del Mar National Botanical Garden using public transportation, start at the Valparaíso bus terminal (Terminal de Buses de Valparaíso). Catch a bus heading to Viña del Mar; buses are frequent and the fare is approximately 1,500 CLP. Once you arrive at the Viña del Mar bus terminal, exit the terminal and walk to the nearby Plaza de Viña del Mar. From there, take a local bus (Line 20 or 21) heading toward El Olivar. The ride will take about 10 minutes, and the fare is around 400 CLP. Get off at the stop closest to Cam. El Olivar, and walk about 500 meters to the entrance of the Botanical Garden.
