Getting There

Bus
From the center of Viña del Mar, head to the nearest bus stop along Avenida Libertad. Look for buses heading towards Valparaíso. You can catch bus number 601 or 603, which goes to the city center of Valparaíso. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Valparaíso bus terminal, exit the terminal and head towards Avenida Pedro Montt.

Walking
After getting off the bus at the Valparaíso terminal, walk towards Avenida Pedro Montt and turn right. Continue walking straight until you reach Plaza Sotero del Río. From there, take a left onto Veintiuno de Mayo street. The Museo Naval y Marítimo will be on your left at number 45, just a short 10-minute walk from the plaza.

Funicular
If you prefer a scenic route, after getting off the bus at the terminal, walk to the nearby Ascensor Artillería funicular (about a 10-minute walk). Ride the funicular up to the top of the hill for beautiful views of Valparaíso. Once at the top, exit and walk down towards Avenida Alemania, then turn right and continue down the hill. Follow the signs to Veintiuno de Mayo street, and the museum will be on your left.
