It underwent repairs and was later transferred to the Sugar Refinery Company of Viña del Mar (CRAV). In 1983, it was remodeled into a tourist promenade, offering a space for locals and tourists to enjoy the coastal scenery. The pier was fully restored in 2016, adding viewing platforms for admiring the Valparaíso Bay.Today, Vergara Pier is a vibrant center of activity, surrounded by gardens, cafes, and restaurants.
