Getting There

  • Car

    From Settlement, drive south on Gaze Road, then turn onto North South Baseline Road. Follow this road for approximately 30 minutes. Look for the sign to Greta Beach. A 4WD vehicle is recommended. Parking is available near the trailhead. From the car park, it's a short 300m walk to the top of the cliff, followed by a descent down a steep staircase to the beach. Car rentals are available at the airport, but booking in advance is essential. Expect to pay around $50-$80 AUD per day for a rental car.

    Taxis are available on Christmas Island, but service is limited. Contact Crabby Transport (+61 (0) 439 215 644) to book a ride. A taxi from Settlement to Greta Beach will cost approximately $30-$40 AUD. Confirm the price before starting your journey.
