Car
If you are driving, make your way to Leticia, which is the capital of the Amazonas Department. From the center of Leticia, head south on Carrera 9 towards Calle 10 until you reach the intersection. Turn left onto Calle 10 and continue straight. You will see the signs directing you to Parque Mundo Amazónico. The park is located approximately 10 kilometers south of Leticia, and the drive should take about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. There is no entrance fee for driving to the park, but you may need to pay for parking.
Public Transportation
To get to Parque Mundo Amazónico using public transportation, first head to the main bus terminal in Leticia. Look for buses or shared vans heading towards the park or the surrounding areas, which should be marked accordingly. The cost for the bus or van ride is typically between 2,000 to 5,000 COP (Colombian Pesos). The journey will take about 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you may have to walk a short distance to reach the main attractions.
Taxi
For a more direct option, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Leticia. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Parque Mundo Amazónico. The fare should be around 30,000 to 40,000 COP, and it will take approximately 20-30 minutes to reach the park depending on traffic conditions.
