My wife and I had an unforgettable 6-day hiking trip through the Ecuadorian Andes. From start to finish, the entire experience felt like a private tour. What made the trip truly special was our guide, Alirio, who was with us the entire time. He was thoughtful, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the Andes terrain, local culture, history, artisans, and the communities we visited. Through Alirio, we were able to connect with the people and places in a much more meaningful way, from family-owned hotels and lodges to local residents and artisans along the route. The itinerary was the perfect mix of hiking, scenery, culture, and adventure, including Quilotoa, Chimborazo, Baños, waterfalls, and Cotopaxi. Each day felt unique, authentic, and personal, with breathtaking views and genuine local experiences. We also felt the trip offered excellent value. The included transfers, accommodations, meals, guided activities, entrance fees, bilingual guide, and 24/7 support made the cost feel very reasonable, and any extra fees were clearly explained in advance. Overall, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us as a couple.
