Bus
From the center of Barranquilla, head to the nearest bus terminal or bus stop. Look for a bus heading towards Puerto Colombia. The bus routes you can consider are 'Cienaga de Oro' or 'Puerto Colombia'. The fare is generally very affordable, around 2,000-3,000 COP. Once on the bus, inform the driver you are going to 'Lago del Cisne' to ensure you get off at the right stop. The bus ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Barranquilla. Start by heading towards the Calle 30, which will take you out of the city towards the east. Follow the bike lanes as you head towards Puerto Colombia. The ride will take around 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you reach Puerto Colombia, navigate towards Sabanilla Montecarmelo, where Lago del Cisne is located. Be mindful of traffic and ensure you have a map or GPS to guide you.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more direct option, consider using a taxi or rideshare service like Uber. Simply open the app, set your pickup location in Barranquilla, and enter 'Lago del Cisne, Sabanilla Montecarmelo, Puerto Colombia' as your destination. The drive should take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Be prepared to pay around 15,000-25,000 COP for the ride.
Walking
Walking to Lago del Cisne from Barranquilla is not advisable due to the distance, but if you're nearby, head towards Avenida del Río. Continue walking towards the eastern direction, making your way to Puerto Colombia. Follow the main road towards Sabanilla Montecarmelo. Expect the walk to take several hours, so ensure you are well-prepared with water and sun protection.
