Walking
If you're starting from the historic center of Cartagena (e.g., Plaza Santo Domingo), head east toward the Avenida San Martin. Walk along the Avenida San Martin towards the north, passing the beach areas. Continue until you reach the intersection with Calle 30. Turn left on Calle 30 and walk straight until you see the Alcatraces Monument on your right, located in the Parque de la Marina, which is a short walk from the beach.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the historic center, you can take any bus heading towards the north (e.g., routes that say 'Bocagrande' or 'Castillo Grande'). Get off at the stop near Calle 30 and Avenida San Martin. From there, it's a short walk to the Alcatraces Monument located in Parque de la Marina. Just follow Calle 30 east until you see the monument.
Bicycle Rental
For a more active option, rent a bicycle from one of the rental stations in the historic center. Head out toward the Avenida San Martin and bike along the coast. Follow the road north until you reach the intersection with Calle 30. Park your bicycle and walk a few steps to the Alcatraces Monument in Parque de la Marina.
