If you are in the historic center of Cartagena, start at Plaza de los Coches. Head northeast towards the main road, Calle 30. Continue walking along this road until you reach Avenida San Martin. Turn left and keep walking until you reach the intersection with Calle 9. At this intersection, turn right onto Calle 9. Walk straight until you reach the entrance of San Felipe de Barajas Fort, which will be on your left. The total walk should take approximately 30-40 minutes.

From the historic center, walk to the nearest bus stop which is located at Avenida Venezuela. Look for a bus heading towards La Boquilla. Once you are on the bus, inform the driver you are going to San Felipe de Barajas Fort. The bus will take you directly to the area. When you get off, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the fort, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus drop-off. The bus ride should take around 15-20 minutes.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in the historic center. Head out towards Avenida San Martin, then turn left. Continue until you reach La Boquilla.
