Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the historic area of Getsemaní, head northwest on Calle del Guerrero towards the Plaza de la Trinidad. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the main road, Avenida San Martin. Turn left and walk along the avenue, enjoying the views of the Caribbean Sea. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the entrance to the Walled City. Enter through the San Pedro de Heredia Gate, and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Carrera 4. Turn right onto Carrera 4 and continue straight for about 5 minutes. You will see Plaza de Bolívar on your left.

If you are starting from the Clock Tower (Torre del Reloj), which is a popular landmark, walk straight down the Calle 30 (Calle del Comercio). Continue straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the Plaza de Bolívar. The plaza will be on your right, marked by its large trees and the impressive statue of Simón Bolívar.

From the Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, exit the castle and head down the hill towards the main road, Avenida del Libertador. Turn right and walk straight for about 15 minutes. You will reach the entrance to the Walled City at the San Pedro de Heredia Gate. Enter through the gate and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Carrera 4. Turn left onto Carrera 4 and walk for about 5 minutes. Plaza de Bolívar will be on your left.

If you're at the beach area near Bocagrande, head towards Avenida San Martin and walk northwest. After about 20 minutes, you will reach the Walled City. Enter through any of the gates (preferably the San Juan Gate) and proceed straight until you reach the main square. Turn left onto Carrera 4, and Plaza de Bolívar will be on your left after a few minutes.
