If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Salento, Quindio. Head southwest on Calle Real towards the main square, then take the first left onto Carrera 6. Drive for about 1.5 km and follow the signs that indicate 'Cocora Valley'. You will arrive at the entrance to Cocora Valley, where you can find parking options. Note that parking may incur a small fee, usually around 5,000 COP (Colombian Pesos). After parking, follow the marked paths to reach the Cocora Valley Trail.

Public Transportation (Willies)
To access the Cocora Valley Trail using public transportation, head to the main square in Salento where you will find the Willies (traditional 4x4 vehicles) waiting to take tourists to Cocora Valley. The fare is approximately 3,000 COP per person. The ride takes about 30 minutes and drops you off at the entrance to the trail. From the drop-off point, follow the signs directing you to the Cocora Valley Trail.

Once you've arrived at the Cocora Valley (either by car or Willies), if you're staying nearby, walking to the trailhead is also an option. Follow the main road leading into the valley, with the towering wax palms as your guide. The trailhead is well-marked and is a short walk from the entrance area, taking about 10-15 minutes on foot.
