Car
If you are driving, start from the main road in Cocora Valley. Follow the signs towards Salento. As you drive, enjoy the scenic views of the valley. After about 10 minutes, you will reach a parking area specifically for visitors to the Forest of the Palms. Park your car here, as the area is pedestrian-friendly. From the parking area, follow the clearly marked trail leading towards the forest. It is a short walk of approximately 15 minutes.

Public Transportation
To reach the Forest of the Palms using public transportation, first take a jeep (Willie) from the main square in Salento to Cocora Valley. The jeep ride costs around 3,000 COP and takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Cocora Valley, you will see several signs directing you to the Forest of the Palms. The hike from the drop-off point to the forest itself takes about 30 minutes, and the trail is well-marked. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes.

Walking
If you are already in Cocora Valley and prefer to walk, head towards the main entrance of the valley. Follow the main path that leads into the area, and look for signs pointing to the Forest of the Palms. The walk is approximately 1.5 kilometers and will take about 30-40 minutes. Enjoy the breathtaking views along the way, and take your time to appreciate the wax palms that line the path.
