Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey from any central location in Coffee Axis, such as Manizales or Armenia. Head towards Filandia by taking the route via the Pan-American Highway (Route 29). Follow the signs for Filandia, which is approximately a 30-45 minute drive from major cities like Manizales or Armenia. Once you enter Filandia, look for the signs directing you to 'Mirador Colina Iluminada'. The mirador is located a short drive from the town center, and parking is available nearby. Expect to pay a parking fee of around 5,000 COP.

• Public Transportation

  For those relying on public transportation, take a bus from either Manizales or Armenia to Filandia. Buses run frequently, and the fare ranges from 10,000 to 15,000 COP. Once you arrive at the Filandia bus terminal, you can either walk to the mirador, which is about a 20-minute hike uphill, or take a local taxi for about 10,000 COP. The taxi will take you directly to the entrance of Mirador Colina Iluminada.

• Walking

  If you are already in Filandia and prefer to walk, head towards the main square and ask locals for directions to 'Colina Iluminada'. The path is well-known and takes you through scenic routes. The walk is approximately 1.5 kilometers and may take around 30-40 minutes. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes, as the trail can be steep in some areas.
