From the main square in Guatape, head towards the main road (Carrera 30) and turn left. Follow the road, which becomes the road to Medellín (Via Guatapé - Medellín). Continue on this road for about 30 kilometers (approximately 35 minutes) until you reach the junction with Avenida Las Palmas. Turn left onto Avenida Las Palmas and follow the road for about 5 kilometers until you reach Alto de Las Palmas. There is usually ample parking available near the attraction.

These buses leave from the main bus terminal in Guatape throughout the day and take about 1 hour to reach Medellín.
