Car
If you are driving, start from Bogotá. Head east on Autopista Norte and take the exit towards Cundinamarca. Follow the signs for Choachí, which is approximately a 1.5 to 2-hour drive. Once in Choachí, look for signs directing you to Cascada La Chorrera. The last part of the journey is a winding road leading to the waterfall entrance, and there is a parking area available.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Bogotá to Choachí. Buses depart from the Salitre bus terminal. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Choachí, you can take a cab or a local moto-taxi to the base of Cascada La Chorrera. Make sure to confirm the fare beforehand, as it may vary. The entrance fee for the waterfall area is approximately 10,000 COP.
Hiking
After reaching the parking area or the drop-off point via taxi, you will need to hike approximately 30-45 minutes to reach the waterfall. The trail is well-marked but can be steep in places, so wear comfortable hiking shoes. Be sure to bring water and snacks, as there are no facilities along the trail.
