    From the main bus terminal in Pasto (Terminal de Transportes), take a bus heading towards the town of San Juan de Pasto. Look for buses labeled 'San Juan' or 'Lago de la Cocha'. The fare is usually around 2,000 COP. Inform the driver that you wish to get off at the entrance to Galeras Nature Sanctuary. The journey takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs towards the park entrance, which is about a 10-minute walk from where the bus drops you off.

The Galeras FFS is an Important Bird Area (IBA/AICA) recognized by BirdLife International. Wildlife enthusiasts might spot deer, páramo wolves, and Colombian weasels.
