Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey in Pereira, the capital of Risaralda Department. Take the Autopista del Café (Route 29) towards Manizales. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit toward Jardín on Route 60. Continue on this road for about 20 kilometers until you reach Jardín. Once in Jardín, follow the signs toward Cueva de los Guácharos, which is located in Vereda La Salada. You may need to park in a designated area and walk a short distance to the entrance. Be prepared for some rugged terrain, and ensure your vehicle can handle steep roads. Check local conditions for any road closures or detours. The entrance fee to the cave is approximately 10,000 COP per person.

Public Transportation
To reach Cueva de los Guácharos via public transportation, start at the Pereira bus terminal. Take a bus to Jardín, which usually takes about 2 hours. Buses run frequently, so check the schedule upon arrival at the terminal. Once you arrive in Jardín, you can either hire a taxi or walk to the cave entrance, which is approximately 5 kilometers from the town center. If you choose to walk, follow the signs towards Vereda La Salada. The taxi fare to the entrance of the cave is around 15,000 COP. Make sure to confirm the return schedule for your bus to Pereira to avoid any delays.
