The most common way to reach Playa Cinto is by boat from Taganga or Santa Marta. From Taganga: Boats typically depart from Taganga and the journey takes approximately 60 minutes. A round trip can cost between COP 150,000 and COP 190,000. From Santa Marta: Boats can also be hired from Santa Marta, with the trip taking around 90 minutes. Alternatively, some tours include a boat trip from Santa Marta to Playa Cinto, combining visits to other beaches like Playa Cristal and Bahia Concha. These tours often include lunch and snorkeling opportunities, with prices around $70 USD per person. Note: Boat trips can be affected by weather conditions, so it's best to check in advance.
Land and Boat
Another way to reach Playa Cinto involves a combination of land transport and a shorter boat ride. 1. Take a bus from the public market in Santa Marta towards Tayrona Park, getting off at Palangana. The bus costs around COP 12,000. 2. From Palangana, hire a moto-taxi or car to Neguanje. A moto-taxi may cost COP 25,000 – 30,000. A taxi to Neguanje costs around COP 160,900. 3. From Neguanje, take a boat to Playa Cinto, which is a short 10-minute ride. This boat trip costs approximately COP 300,000 per boat. Alternatively, you can hike from Neguanje to Playa Cristal (approx. 45 minutes) and then to Playa Cinto (approx. 2 hours). However, this hike is extensive and can be challenging.
