    The Crested Butte Museum is located downtown at the corner of 4th and Elk Avenue. From most points in downtown Crested Butte, it is easily accessible on foot. Simply head towards the main thoroughfare of Elk Avenue and look for the historic Tony's Conoco building. It's located on the south side of Elk Avenue.

    The Mountain Express, a free local bus system, stops near the Crested Butte Museum. The closest stops are the Old Town Hall Stop and the 4-Way Stop, both about a 5-minute walk (0.2 miles) from the museum. Check the Mountain Express website for the most up-to-date schedule.   • Parking

    Free public parking is available on both sides of Elk Avenue and adjacent streets. Parking can be limited, especially during peak season. There are no public parking lots in either town where you can park a vehicle overnight. All street parking is subject to regulations which differ in the summer and the winter.
