Getting There

Shuttle
The most common way to reach Maroon Bells is via the RFTA shuttle from Aspen Highlands. From Aspen, take the free Castle/Maroon bus to Aspen Highlands. At Aspen Highlands, board the RFTA shuttle to Maroon Bells. Shuttle tickets are $16 for adults, $10 for seniors (65+) and children under 12. Reservations are required. Parking at Aspen Highlands is available for a fee of $7/hour, with a $40 maximum for 24 hours on weekdays and $48/daily max on weekends.

From Aspen, take Highway 82 west to Maroon Creek Road. Follow Maroon Creek Road for about 10 minutes to the Welcome Station. Private vehicles are allowed before 8:00 AM and after 5:00 PM with a parking reservation. A parking reservation costs $10 per vehicle. Reservations are required and can be made at VisitMaroonBells.com.

Biking to Maroon Bells is a challenging but rewarding option. From Aspen, ride up Maroon Creek Road. The ride is approximately 8 miles with a 1,600-foot elevation gain. Bicycles can access Maroon Bells at any time for no fee. Be aware of shuttle buses and other vehicles on the road.
