The drive is approximately 45 minutes from Denver. Be aware that I-70 has Express Lanes which are tolled during peak hours. Check overhead signage for current toll prices. Parking is available near the location.

From Idaho Springs, transfer to the Clear Creek County Roundabout, a free public transportation service, to reach Empire. The Roundabout serves Silver Plume, Georgetown, Empire, Lawson, Dumont and Idaho Springs. The Bustang from Denver to Idaho Springs costs approximately $6-10.
