Public Transit
From downtown Boulder, walk to the Boulder Transit Center located at 14th St & Walnut St. Take the RTD 'H' bus towards Estes Park. The bus will take you directly to Estes Park, which is approximately a 1.5-hour ride. Make sure to check the bus schedule on the RTD website for the latest departure times.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local bike shops in Boulder. Start at the Boulder Creek Path and follow it northwest towards the foothills. Continue on the path that leads to the Peak to Peak Highway. This route can take around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on your pace. Follow the signs towards Estes Park, and you'll arrive at your destination with beautiful views along the way.
Walking
While walking to Estes Park is not practical due to the distance (about 25 miles), you can take a scenic hike in the nearby Flatirons area. After enjoying the views, return to the Boulder Transit Center and take the 'H' bus to Estes Park as mentioned above. This way, you can enjoy both the local scenery and the destination.
