Public Transportation
Start at the Boulder Downtown Transit Center. Board the SKIP bus (Route 204) towards the North Boulder Recreation Center. Ride the bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the stop at the intersection of Broadway and Iris. From there, transfer to the HOP bus (Route 205) towards the University of Colorado. After about 10 minutes, disembark at the stop near the intersection of Baseline and 9th Street. Walk west on Baseline Road for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Chautauqua Park entrance. Here, you can follow the Chautauqua Trail up towards the Flatirons. The trail leads to a scenic viewpoint, continuing to Lost Gulch Overlook which is approximately 1.5 miles from the park entrance. Keep in mind that the trail can be steep, so be prepared for a moderate hike.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from one of the local shops in downtown Boulder. Head north on 13th Street towards the Boulder Creek Path. Follow the path west until you reach the intersection with Broadway, then turn left onto Broadway. Continue north on Broadway until you reach the intersection with Baseline Road. Turn right onto Baseline Road and bike west for about 1 mile to reach the Chautauqua Park entrance. From the entrance, take the Chautauqua Trail and follow the signs to Lost Gulch Overlook.
