    North Boulder Park is located in a residential area and is easily accessible by foot from the surrounding neighborhoods. From the intersection of Broadway and Alpine, walk west on Alpine for approximately 0.3 miles, then turn left onto 9th Street. The park will be on your right. This walk is generally flat and takes about 5-10 minutes.

  • Public Transport

    The Regional Transportation District (RTD) provides bus service to North Boulder. Several bus routes serve the area, including the SKIP route, which runs along Broadway. From downtown Boulder, take the SKIP bus northbound and exit at the Broadway and Alpine stop. Walk west on Alpine for approximately 0.3 miles, then turn left onto 9th Street. The park will be on your right. A one-way fare on the HOP is $2.75. A 3-hour pass, allowing unlimited rides and transfers (including to RTD routes) within 3-hours of issuance, is $3.

  • Driving

    North Boulder Park is accessible by car. From downtown Boulder, head north on Broadway. Turn left onto Alpine Avenue, and then turn left onto 9th Street. The park will be on your right. Parking is available in a small lot at the park, with additional on-street parking available in the surrounding neighborhood. Parking is free. Be aware of parking restrictions and time limits in the residential area. Limited parking is available.

North Boulder Park, located in the heart of Boulder, Colorado, is more than just a park; it's a community hub with a rich history and diverse amenities. Situated at 9th St and Dellwood Ave, this 11-acre park offers south-facing views of the iconic Flatirons, providing a picturesque backdrop for various activities. The park's history is intertwined with significant local events and personal stories. It served as the starting line for the first-ever Bolder Boulder 10K race in 1979, now a world-famous event. The park also hosted stages of the Red Zinger and Coors Classic bicycle races,testifying to Boulder's cycling legacy. A poignant landmark within the park is the memorial fountain dedicated to Emma Walsh, the daughter of Eagles' guitarist Joe Walsh, who tragically passed away at a young age. Stevie Nicks immortalized the fountain in her song, “Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You”. Today, North Boulder Park offers a wide range of amenities for all ages and interests. These include a playground, restrooms, picnic shelters, grills, diamond fields, a basketball court, a bike park, and multi-use fields. Slacklining is permitted in the south end of the park, and a fitness court is available for those 14 and older. A Tot Track, made possible by a donation honoring the Red Zinger Classic/Coors International Bicycle Classic, provides a safe space for young cyclists. In winter, the park transforms into a cross-country skiing haven. Ongoing renovations aim to enhance the park further. Plans include an elevated nature play experience, a teen space, picnic shelter renovation, and improved accessibility. The project also focuses on water-wise landscaping and addressing drainage issues.
