Our Mutual Friend Brewing: A RiNo Craft Beer Haven

Our Mutual Friend Brewing (OMF) has been a cornerstone of Denver's River North Art District (RiNo) since its establishment in December 2012. Founded by Bryan Leavelle, Andrew Strasburg, and Brandon Proff, OMF began as a small neighborhood taproom with a vision of creating community through craft beer. Starting with a modest 31-gallon brew system, the brewery has grown organically, always prioritizing quality and local ingredients. OMF's commitment to local sourcing is evident in its use of Colorado-grown malt and hops, with nearly all of their malt sourced from within the state. This dedication to local ingredients contributes to the unique character of their beers, which range from traditional styles to experimental brews. The brewery has garnered recognition for its quality, including silver medals at the Great American Beer Festival for beers like 24FPS, Dreamy Thing, and Saison Trystero. The taproom itself is a reflection of OMF's community-focused ethos. The building is hard to miss, adorned with a colorful mural that embodies the RiNo Art District's creative spirit. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with vinyl records spinning and a collection of beer-related books adding to the ambiance. OMF also hosts events and collaborations with local artists, further solidifying its role as a community hub. Our Mutual Friend doesn't have a kitchen, but they often host local food trucks, and nearby restaurants provide plenty of options.
