The current church building, completed in 1888, is a remarkable example of Modern Gothic architecture, designed by Robert S. Roeschlaub, Colorado's first licensed architect. The church's exterior is constructed from Castle Rock rhyolite, a volcanic stone, giving it a distinctive gray, pink, and purple hue. The 181-foot steeple, once the tallest stone tower in the country, remains a prominent feature of the Denver skyline. Inside, the sanctuary boasts stunning stained-glass windows crafted by Healy and Millet of Chicago, as well as a magnificent 4,202-pipe Roosevelt organ, one of only a few remaining in the country.
