From the center of Boulder, head to the Boulder Transit Center located at 14th St & Walnut St. Take the Flatiron Flyer (FF) bus towards Denver. Get off at the 'Golden - 19th St & Jackson St' stop. From there, transfer to the Jefferson County 'RTD 16' bus towards 'Golden - 12th St & Jackson St'. Get off at the 'Lookout Mountain Rd & 19th St' stop. Walk 0.5 miles up Lookout Mountain Rd to reach the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave.

If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Boulder. Start at the Boulder Creek Path and head west towards the Canyon Boulevard exit. Follow the signs to Highway 93 towards Golden. Continue on Highway 93 for about 10 miles until you reach Lookout Mountain Rd. Turn right on Lookout Mountain Rd and bike up the road for about 1 mile to reach the museum.

Walking directly from Boulder to the Buffalo Bill Museum is quite a trek at approximately 20 miles. Start at the Pearl Street Mall, head west towards Canyon Blvd, and follow the path along the Boulder Creek Path. Once you reach the intersection with Highway 93, continue walking south until you reach Lookout Mountain Rd. Then, walk up Lookout Mountain Rd for about 1 mile to arrive at the museum.
