Walk north on 4th Street for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Royal Gorge Boulevard (Highway 50). Cross the street and continue walking north on 4th Street, which becomes the Royal Gorge Route Railroad path. Follow this path out of town for approximately 2 miles until you see signs indicating the Oil Well Flats Trail System.
