Driving
From Crested Butte, head north on Gothic Road/ County Road 317. The road is paved initially but turns to gravel. Continue for approximately 8 miles to reach the Gothic Natural Area. Be aware that the road can be rough and may require a high-clearance vehicle, especially further along the road. Parking is available near the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory Visitor Center. There are no parking fees.
Public Transport
The Mountain Express bus provides free transportation from Crested Butte to various points along Gothic Road. Check the bus schedule for stops and times. From the bus stop nearest to Gothic, it's a short walk to the main attractions. There is no cost for the bus.
Biking
From Crested Butte, follow Gothic Road north. The ride is approximately 8 miles on a mix of paved and gravel surfaces. Be prepared for some uphill sections. Bike parking is available near the RMBL Visitor Center. There are no fees associated with biking.
