Sweitzer Lake State Park, established in 1960, is a 210-acre day-use park centered around a 137-acre reservoir. Popular for water recreation, it offers boating, fishing, swimming, and picnicking against the backdrop of the San Juan Mountains, Uncompahgre Plateau and Grand Mesa.

Driving
From Delta, head south on US-50 for approximately one mile. Turn east onto E Road, following signs for Sweitzer Lake State Park. The park entrance is a short distance down E Road. A daily vehicle pass costs $10-$12.
Public Transport
While there isn't a direct public transportation route to Sweitzer Lake State Park, you can take the Delta Dash bus route to a location in Delta, and then take a taxi or ride-sharing service to the park, which is about a mile south of the city. Taxi fare from Delta to the park is approximately $10-$15.
