Start at the Durango Transit Center located at 2500 Main Ave, Durango, CO 81301. From here, head south on Main Avenue towards 24th St. After about 0.5 miles, take a left turn onto 24th St and continue walking for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Florida Rd. Cross Florida Rd and continue straight onto the Animas River Trail, which will be on your right. Follow the trail along the river for approximately 2.5 miles until you reach the Animas Overlook Trailhead.

Begin your journey at the Durango Transit Center (2500 Main Ave, Durango, CO 81301). Rent a bike from one of the local bike shops nearby. Head south on Main Avenue and take a left onto 24th St. Continue straight until you reach Florida Rd. Turn right on Florida Rd and then take the first left onto the Animas River Trail. Cycle along the river for about 2.5 miles. The Animas Overlook Trailhead will be marked along the trail.
