Car
From any location in Eastern Plains, head west on US-34 W. Continue on US-34 W until you reach I-25 N. Merge onto I-25 N and continue for approximately 30 miles. Take exit 217 for US-36 W toward Boulder. Follow US-36 W for about 25 miles, then take the exit toward CO-93 N. Merge onto CO-93 N and follow the signs for Boulder. As you enter Boulder, continue on Baseline Rd until you reach the entrance to Chautauqua Park. There is a parking fee of around $2 per hour. Park your car and from the parking area, you can access the hiking trails leading to First Flatiron.
Public Transportation
To reach First Flatiron using public transportation, start by taking the Bustang bus from the Eastern Plains area to Denver. From Denver, transfer to the RTD Flatiron Flyer (FF1) towards Boulder. Once you arrive in Boulder, you can take the local bus (Routes 204 or 205) that goes to Chautauqua Park. The bus fare is approximately $4. Once at Chautauqua Park, there is a small parking fee if you have a vehicle, or you can begin your hike directly from the bus stop to First Flatiron.
