Getting There

    From Snowmass Village, drive north towards Aspen on Brush Creek Road/Highway 82. Turn left onto Owl Creek Road and continue towards Snowmass Creek Road. Follow Snowmass Creek Road until it turns into a graded dirt road. Continue for approximately 4 miles until you cross Snowmass Creek. Turn right at the next intersection and proceed a short distance to the trailhead. Parking is free but can be limited on weekends.

  • Public Transport

    Take the free RFTA bus from Snowmass Village to the Brush Creek Park & Ride. From there, transfer to a connecting route that heads towards the Snowmass Creek area. Check the RFTA schedule for specific routes and times. From the nearest bus stop on Snowmass Creek Road, it may be necessary to walk or bike the remaining distance to the trailhead. Bus service between Aspen and Snowmass Village is free.

  • Biking

    From Snowmass Village, follow the Owl Creek Trail towards Snowmass Creek Road. Connect to Snowmass Creek Road and continue as described in the Driving directions. Bike rentals are available in Snowmass Village. Be prepared for a significant uphill climb on Snowmass Creek Road to reach the trailhead.
