    From Estes Park, start at the visitor center located at 500 Big Thompson Ave. Drive northeast along Big Thompson Ave until you reach the intersection with Moraine Ave. Turn left on Moraine Ave and continue until you see the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Enter the park (park pass required) and head towards Bear Lake Road. Continue on Bear Lake Road for approximately 9 miles, passing the Bear Lake Trailhead and parking area. After the parking area, continue straight until you reach the parking lot for the Eagle Cliff Mountain trailhead, which will be on your left. Park your car here, and follow the marked trail for Eagle Cliff Mountain. Expect to pay an entrance fee for Rocky Mountain National Park, which varies depending on the season and type of pass. Daily passes begin at $30.

    During the summer, take the free shuttle bus from the Estes Park Visitor Center towards Bear Lake. Stay on the bus until you reach the Bear Lake stop. From the Bear Lake stop, hike the trail leading towards Eagle Cliff Mountain, following the signs. The hike will take approximately 2-3 hours, depending on your pace. The Peak operates the Town of Estes Park's free, daily transit service during the peak summer tourism season (late May through late October).
