Getting There

  • Walking

    The Estes Park Memorial Observatory is located at 1600 Manford Ave, on the campus of the Estes Park R-3 School District. From downtown Estes Park, head north on US-34/N St Vrain Ave. Turn left onto Manford Ave. The observatory will be on your left, a walk of approximately 1.5 miles. Sidewalks are available for most of the route.

  • Public Transport

    Estes Park offers a free seasonal shuttle service that operates throughout the town. Check the current routes and schedules, as the free shuttles provide access to the Estes Park Visitor Center. From there, you may need to walk to the observatory, or call for a route deviation. The Peak operates the free, daily transit service during the peak summer tourism season (late May through late October).

  • Driving

    From downtown Estes Park, head north on US-34/N St Vrain Ave. Turn left onto Manford Ave. The observatory will be on your left at 1600 Manford Ave. Parking is available at the observatory. During peak season, parking in Estes Park can be congested. Free parking is available at the Estes Park Visitor Center. Paid parking is available in downtown Estes Park for $2 per hour between 10 AM and 5 PM from late May through mid-October. Free parking is available off-season.
