Discover more about The Broadmoor Seven Falls

Nestled in a natural box canyon, The Broadmoor Seven Falls is a mesmerizing series of seven cascading waterfalls, plunging a total of 181 feet. This privately-owned tourist attraction, dating back to the early 1880s, has earned the title of 'The Grandest Mile of Scenery in Colorado' and is the only Colorado waterfall to make National Geographic's list of international waterfalls. Originally homesteaded in 1872 by Nathaniel Colby, the land was later purchased by James Hull, who recognized its scenic value. Hull constructed a road and stairway to allow visitors to experience the falls, and Seven Falls quickly became a prominent attraction. Over the years, The Broadmoor Seven Falls has seen devastating floods and fires that completely destroyed the trails, making it inaccessible. Before being acquired by The Broadmoor Hotel and Resort in 2014, Seven Falls went through several ownership changes. The Broadmoor has since heavily invested in restoring the Seven Falls' beauty and charm, making it accessible not only to its guests but also to the public so that everyone can have the opportunity to experience the awe-inspiring wonder of this natural gem. Visitors can ascend the 224-step staircase alongside the falls or take an elevator to the Eagle's Nest observation platform for panoramic views. For those seeking a more adventurous experience, two hiking trails, Inspiration Point Trail and Midnight Falls Trail, offer stunning vistas. The park also features Restaurant 1858, offering wood-fired Colorado cuisine. In the evenings, the falls are illuminated with colorful lighting, creating a magical atmosphere.
