Getting There

  • Driving

    To reach Clifton Nature Park, head north out of Clifton on 32 Road, then turn east onto D Road. Continue for about half a mile; the trailhead will be on your right, just before 32 1/2 Road. The parking lot is of decent size and can accommodate a number of vehicles.

  • Public Transport

    From Grand Junction, you can take the Grand Valley Transit (GVT) Route 3 bus to the Clifton Transfer Station. From there, you can walk or take the Route 10 bus. From the Clifton Transfer Station, head north on 32 Road, turn east onto D Road and walk for about a half-mile. The park will be on your right. A single ride on GVT costs $1.50.

  • Walking

    If starting from downtown Grand Junction, walk east on Main Street until you reach 5th Street. Turn left onto 5th Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Rood Avenue. Turn right onto Rood Avenue and walk until you reach 30th Road. Continue straight onto D Road and walk for about 2 miles. Clifton Nature Park will be on your left at 3227 D Rd.
