Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the center of Gunnison, at the intersection of Tomichi Avenue and Main Street. Head south on Main Street for about two blocks until you reach the intersection with Virginia Avenue. Turn left (east) onto Virginia Avenue and continue for four blocks until you reach N. 10th Street. Turn right (south) onto N. 10th Street. Continue straight for about six blocks until you reach the intersection with E. Colorado Street. Turn left (east) onto E. Colorado Street, and Jorgensen Park will be located on your right after a short walk, approximately two blocks down.

    Begin your bike ride from the Gunnison Riverwalk Trailhead, located along the Gunnison River. Follow the Riverwalk Trail north, and you will eventually reach a junction with N. 9th Street. Turn right onto N. 9th Street and head east until you reach E. Colorado Street. Turn left onto E. Colorado Street and continue until you arrive at Jorgensen Park, which will be on your right.
