Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from High Plains, start by heading west on US-34 W. Continue for about 20 miles until you reach the intersection with CO-287 N. Take the exit onto CO-287 N towards Fort Collins. After about 5 miles, take the exit toward Harmony Rd. Merge onto Harmony Rd and continue west for approximately 5 miles. Turn left onto N Shields St and continue for about 2 miles until you reach the entrance of Lory State Park at 708 Lodgepole Dr, Bellvue, CO 80512. Note that there is a parking fee of $9 for a daily pass.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Lory State Park using public transportation, first take the Bustang from High Plains to Fort Collins. Once in Fort Collins, transfer to the local Transfort bus system. You'll want to take the MAX bus line to the Harmony and Shields stop. From there, use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach Lory State Park at 708 Lodgepole Dr, Bellvue, CO 80512. Keep in mind that rideshare fares may vary based on demand.

• Bicycle

  For those who are adventurous, biking to Lory State Park is an option. Start from High Plains and cycle towards US-34 W. Follow the same route as for cars, but be cautious as some sections may have heavy traffic. Ensure you have appropriate gear and a map, as the ride is approximately 30 miles and may take several hours depending on your cycling speed.
