Majestic Plains: A Historical Marvel in Colorado

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start by heading east on CO-14 from the center of High Plains. Continue for approximately 15 miles until you reach the intersection with CR-43. Turn left (north) onto CR-43 and drive for about 5 miles. Then, turn right onto a smaller road which leads directly to V6V3+RP, Carr, CO 80612. The Majestic Plains will be located on your left-hand side. Parking is typically available near the site.

• Public Transportation

  For those relying on public transportation, take the regional bus service that operates from the nearest city, Fort Collins. You will need to catch the bus heading towards Carr. Once you arrive in Carr, it is about a 2-mile walk to V6V3+RP, where Majestic Plains is located. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited, especially on weekends.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, you can follow the same route as by car. Rent a bicycle in High Plains and head east on CO-14. After about 15 miles, turn left onto CR-43 and bike for another 5 miles before turning onto the road leading to V6V3+RP, Carr, CO 80612. Be cautious as some parts of the route may have limited bike lanes.

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and are near Carr, you can walk from the town to V6V3+RP. It is approximately a 2-mile walk from the center of Carr. Head north on CR-43 and then take the small road leading to Majestic Plains. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the walk can be quite warm during the day.
