Driving
From the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center, head west on Gateway Road, turn right onto Juniper Way Loop, then follow Garden Drive to the southern section. Balanced Rock will be on the right with parking areas nearby. Alternatively, from Manitou Springs, take Beckers Lane to El Paso Blvd, then Garden Drive north. Balanced Rock will be on your left in approximately 0.5 miles. Parking is free but can be limited during peak hours.
Public Transport
Mountain Metro Transit (MMT) provides bus service to the Garden of the Gods area. From downtown Colorado Springs, take a bus route that connects to the park. Check the MMT website or app for the most up-to-date routes and schedules. From the bus stop, you may need to walk a short distance to reach Balanced Rock. A single ride fare is $1.75, or a day pass can be purchased for $4.00. Note that bus fares are free between June 1 and August 31, 2025.
Ride Share
Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are readily available in Colorado Springs. Request a ride to Balanced Rock at Garden of the Gods. The driver can drop you off near the parking area. The typical cost from downtown Colorado Springs is between $15 and $25, depending on demand and distance.
