  • Driving

    From I-25, take the Larkspur Exit. Head south on Spruce Mountain Road for approximately 6 miles. The parking area for cars and light trucks will be on your right. Note that trailer parking is not available at this lot; trailers must park at the Spruce Meadows Trailhead along Noe Road. Parking is free.

The area serves as a wildlife corridor, connecting Pike National Forest, Greenland Open Space, and Greenland Ranch. Keep an eye out for various birds and other wildlife while exploring the trails. The most popular activity is hiking, with a 5.5-mile loop taking you to the summit. The upper loop connects to Spruce Meadows Trail, offering an easier hike for families. The trails are also open to mountain biking and horseback riding. The park is generally best used from March to November as trails can get slushy and muddy when it snows.
