Getting There

• Car

  If you are starting from Denver, take I-25 North towards Fort Collins. Merge onto US-36 W towards Boulder. Continue on this road until you reach CO-119 N. Follow CO-119 N until it merges with US-6 W. Continue on US-6 W until you reach the junction for I-70 W. Take I-70 W and exit at US-285 S towards Fairplay. Continue on US-285 S until you reach Como. Once in Como, follow Boreas Pass Rd to the Como Roundhouse located at 441-463 Boreas Pass Rd, Como, CO 80432. Parking is available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, take the Bustang service from Denver to the Colorado Springs station. From Colorado Springs, transfer to the local Mountain Metro transit service to reach Fairplay. Once you arrive in Fairplay, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service, as public transit does not extend to Como directly. The Como Roundhouse is located approximately 11 miles from Fairplay, so be prepared for this additional transportation step. Ensure you check the Bustang and Mountain Metro schedules in advance, as they may have limited service.

• Taxi/Rideshare

  If you are in Fairplay after using public transport, you can take a taxi or use a rideshare app such as Uber or Lyft to reach Como Roundhouse. The trip should take about 15-20 minutes, and you can expect to pay around $20-$30 depending on the service and time of day. Confirm the pickup location with your driver, as it might be different from the bus station.
