From the center of Pagosa Springs, head south on US-160 E towards the Four Corners. After about 2 miles, look for the signs for the Piedra Road, which will be on your right. Turn onto Piedra Road and continue for about 8 miles until you reach the trailhead for the Rainbow Hot Springs hike. The trailhead is located at the end of a dirt road. Park your bicycle or begin your hike here. The hike to Rainbow Hot Springs is approximately 2 miles and is considered moderately challenging. Follow the trail as it winds through the forest, and keep an eye out for trail markers. After about 30-45 minutes of hiking, you will arrive at Rainbow Hot Springs, where you can enjoy the natural hot springs.
