Walking
From the center of Pagosa Springs, head east on Hot Springs Blvd (the main road). Continue on Hot Springs Blvd for approximately 1 mile until you reach the intersection with 8th St. Turn left onto 8th St and follow it as it curves to the right. After about 0.3 miles, you will see a trailhead on your right for the San Juan River. Follow the trail down towards the river. The hot springs are located along the riverside a short walk from the trailhead.

Bicycling
Start from the Pagosa Springs Town Park, located at 2nd St and Hot Springs Blvd. Head south on Hot Springs Blvd for about 0.5 miles. Take a left onto 8th St and bike down to the river trail. Continue on the trail, which runs alongside the San Juan River. After about 1 mile of biking, you will find the San Juan riverside free hot spring along the riverbank.

Public Transport (Bus)
Catch the local shuttle service from the Pagosa Springs Visitor Center. Board the shuttle heading towards the Hot Springs area. Ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Hot Springs Blvd. From there, walk east on Hot Springs Blvd for about 0.5 miles. Look for the trailhead that leads down to the San Juan River on your right after about 0.3 miles. Follow the trail down to the riverside and you will find the hot spring.
