Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car within the Pikes Peak Region, start from downtown Colorado Springs. Head north on Cascade Avenue and then take a left onto Pikes Peak Avenue. Follow the signs for Highway 24 and merge onto it heading west. Continue on Highway 24 until you reach the Pikes Peak Highway entrance. The entrance is approximately 19 miles from downtown Colorado Springs. Please note that there is an entrance fee of $15 per vehicle (as of 2023), which allows access to the summit of Pikes Peak.

• Public Transportation + Shuttle

  For those relying on public transportation, take the Mountain Metro Transit bus route 3 from downtown Colorado Springs towards the Pikes Peak Highway.   For the adventurous, biking to Pikes Peak can be a thrilling experience! Start in Colorado Springs and follow the same route as vehicles.
