Driving
Several access points exist for Austin Bluffs Open Space. One popular option is to travel on North Nevada Avenue, heading past the University Village Shopping Center. The trailhead is located adjacent to the Utilities Substation on the east side of North Nevada Avenue. Parking is available at the lot, with 55-60 spaces. A new parking lot with 100 spaces is planned, subject to funding. Parking at the UCCS indoor track is also an option, with a possible parking fee. Limited street parking may be available on Rockhurst Blvd.
Public Transport
Mountain Metro bus route 34 serves the Austin Bluffs area. Stops along Austin Bluffs Parkway, such as the Austin Bluffs/Regent stop, provide access to the open space. From the bus stop, follow the designated trails into the open space. A single ride fare on Mountain Metro is $1.75.
Walking
If you are near the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) campus, you can easily walk to Austin Bluffs Open Space. Access trails are available near the intersection of University Park Blvd and Rockhurst. From the UCCS campus, follow the trails leading north into the open space. The walk is generally easy to moderate, with some inclines.
