Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start from the city of Colorado Springs and take U.S. Highway 24 West. After approximately 12 miles, turn left onto Pikes Peak Highway. Follow the Pikes Peak Highway for about 19 miles until you reach the summit. The road has several scenic overlooks where you can stop and enjoy the views. Be aware that there is an entrance fee of $15 per vehicle for up to 5 passengers. Larger vehicles may have a higher fee.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take a bus from Colorado Springs to the Pikes Peak region. First, take the Mountain Metro Transit bus to the Manitou Springs area. From there, you can catch the Pikes Peak Cog Railway or arrange for a shuttle service that operates to the summit during peak seasons.
