Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving to Pikes Peak Summit House, take U.S. Highway 24 West from Colorado Springs. Follow the signs for Pikes Peak Highway, which is located just outside of Cascade. The entrance to Pikes Peak Highway is at the intersection of U.S. Highway 24 and Pikes Peak Highway. Note that there is an entrance fee of $15 per vehicle. Continue on Pikes Peak Highway for about 19 miles to reach the summit. The drive offers scenic views, but be aware of the altitude and potential weather changes as you approach the summit.

• Public Transportation

  Public transportation options are limited directly to Pikes Peak, but you can take the Mountain Metro Transit Route 9 from downtown Colorado Springs to the Manitou Springs area. From there, you will need to transfer to a shuttle or taxi service to reach the Pikes Peak Highway entrance. Once at the entrance, you will need to pay the $15 entrance fee to access the highway. After that, you will have to drive or arrange for a shuttle to take you to the summit. Please check local shuttle services for availability and schedules, especially during peak tourist seasons.

• Bike

  For the adventurous, biking to Pikes Peak Summit House is an option. You can start from Cascade and follow the Pikes Peak Highway. Keep in mind that this route is steep and challenging, and it's recommended only for experienced cyclists. Ensure you have the right gear and be prepared for changing weather conditions. There is also a $15 entrance fee for the highway. Make sure to check in advance if biking is allowed on the specific day of your visit.
